No this isn’t a post about getting all WET, it’s about Bethesda’s new game releasing on the 15th of November. I only recently noticed this game myself. To me it was a game that happened to fly under the radar, which surprised me considering it’s Bethesda Studios.
WET is a third person shooter and rated M for Mature. It will be released for the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3.
WET is the story of a Rubi Malone, a female gun for hire, who has taken on a job to find a man’s lost son. But as it turns out, it’s a more complicated ordeal than he expected, and now Rubi attempts to find the man that betrayed her, leaving a massive body count along the way.
Now WET brings a new game mechanic that we don’t see very often games, which is a full set of acrobatics. Yes, we are going to get a nimble, decent looking female doing flips and tricks on command. Mixing in with that aspect will be gun and sword play, both tying into the acrobatics to the point where you could be doing any acrobatic move and still be able to shoot or attack with the lethal sword on your back. Incorporating these elements together is something I rarely see and cannot wait to experience in the game. Besides, who doesn’t want to do a front flip and shoot a couple bad guys in the process? They also will be adding the ability to hit multiple enemies at the same time, allowing you to lock onto one target then on the fly, aim your secondary weapon to a new target–raining fire down upon both. The last game I’ve played that was similar to this was Devil May Cry 4.
Since the game is releasing rather soon, I wanted to provide as much information on it as possible, so here are a few videos of WET, enjoy.
